Before any cards are dealt the Player must place a bet. The player will then be dealt 2 cards face up; the Dealer will also be dealt 2 cards, first card face up and second card placed face down. The Player should decide whether to take another card (HIT), or to stick with the first two cards dealt (STAND). Once Player decided to hit or stand, Dealer will continue playing dealer’s hand.

The dealer draws an additional card when the total of the dealer’s cards is 16 or less and stands when the total is 17 or greater (including soft 17s). The dealer does not draw when the player is «bust». If the dealer’s open card is an ace, the player is asked to make an insurance bet. The cost of insurance is equal to half of the initial bet and is paid 2:1 if the dealer receives Blackjack. If the dealer does not have Blackjack, the player loses the insurance bet. The goal of Blackjack is simple; beat the house`s combination by acquiring a combined card count of 21 or less. Aces are valued either as 1 or eleven, picture cards Kings, Queens and Jacks have a card value of ten. All cards have their numeric face value, i.e. 7 is valued as 7 points, 2 is valued at 2 points… etc. If Player’s total exceeds 21, the Player loses the bet amount.
