The Gold Volcano has lain dormant for thousands of years, now it’s active, and the island of Cash-a-Mundo is about to be showered in riches, as it spews gems and gold everywhere!!

Gold Volcano is the latest title slot title from Play’n GO, and it’s a cascading slot with a difference! In this game, the symbols will rise up like lava from the bottom of the volcano and, just like a real volcano, it’s unpredictable and can go off at any time, triggering earth-shaking features to help you get more riches.

The grid is shaped like a volcano in a 3-4-5-6-6-5-4-3 layout, and you can create winning combos by making clusters of four or more matching symbols, connected horizontally or vertically. When clusters are made, they disappear, and the lava will rise, pushing more symbols onto the grid to create more clusters!

Four different precious materials make up the game symbols, and gold is the most valuable one; the rest of the symbols are made up of the four card suit symbols. The game has two Wilds, a standard Wild which will substitute for any symbol, except the Scatter, to help create clusters. The second Wild will also substitute for any symbol, but will also multiply any wins it creates by 2!

Finally, there is the Scatter; a piece of volcanic rock that can charge the meter and trigger one of the game’s many features, Crystallisation!

Pressure

This can trigger randomly when a winning combination is removed from the grid; a Wild symbol may be left in the vacant space, becoming active during the next cascade. The Wild may also randomly be a multiplier Wild.

Dormant

Can be triggered randomly during the base game, on a non-winning initial spin or subsequent cascade. Once triggered, it will activate one of the following features:

Rumble

All symbols on the grid will be shuffled into new locations, and one symbol will be replaced by a Scatter, contributing to the meter.

Lava

The lava will erupt, spewing out a random symbol that will cascade onto the grid, changing the layout to 4,5,6,7,7,4,5. This gives you a chance to create more winning clusters, and your random symbol may also be Wild.

Excavate

Between 3 and 5 Wild symbols are added to the grid in random locations.

Crystallisation

Triggered by filling the meter with Scatter symbols, for every three symbols collected, the feature will upgrade a different precious material into the most valuable symbol, gold. The meter will reset after every spin during the base game.

Eruption

After six successive symbol cascades in a round the free spin feature, Eruption, will be triggered; once all your wins have been collected from the sixth cascade, the feature will begin. During Eruption the volcano will erupt on each spin spewing out more symbols and transforming the grid into an 8x8 layout. You can re-trigger Eruption while it’s still active and it will award you one additional re-spin each time.

During Eruption, Crystallisation is still active, and the meter will not reset between spins. The Pressure feature can still be activated during Eruption also.
